Library

This is one library that’s far from quiet. In fact, this is where you’ll keep a record of all your playlists, starred tracks and any music you’ve purchased inside Spotify. As well as your own cleaned-up and properly-tagged music files.

Filter bar

The Filter bar is like a magical Spotify librarian who’ll instantly find whatever you’re looking for. OK, it’s more like a permanent bar at the top of your library to do your searching, but you know what we mean.

How to ‘star’ tracks in Spotify

Sounds glamorous, but ‘starring’ is actually just a handy bookmark for you.

Next to each track on Spotify you’ll see there’s an empty star shape. Click on one and it will shine yellow. You’ll now be able to see that track in your ‘Starred’ file here in the library.

Show your stars to the world

Your ‘starred’ tracks can also be published in your Profile – it’s a good way to show everyone which tracks are exciting you.

Let us link

When you sync your own MP3s into Spotify, we’ll check to see if we have the track or album in the Spotify catalogue. If we do, we’ll make it linkable. This makes it easier to share playlists that contain your own music files.

Syncing local files by WiFi

This is very handy. With Spotify Premium you can sync from your computer to your mobile. Just so long as you’re on the same WiFi and logged onto the same Spotify account.

Shuffle your playlist tracks?

Good idea. You’ll find a list of all of the tracks in your playlists in the library. Shuffle to your heart’s content.
