Q&A: how does spotify work?

Question by teddy picker: how does spotify work?
i’ve FINALLY worked out how to get it for free and i’m just wondering, how is it legal and why is it free? also, whats the difference between premium and free spotify?

You cannot download the files and the quality is not best but you can buy the tracks for download. It is marketing of music.
Premium gives you no adverts and better quality to probably a greater playlist.

Adverts are quite frequent on Spotify, and they suck. But I LOVE Spotify nevertheless. It has a good selection of music, and the search, playlist and download tools are all very user-friendly, so I would definitely recommend it! You get an even better selection and no adverts with the premium account (e.g., I couldn’t get “Fire With Fire” on my basic account, but premium users could), but I don’t think it’s worth it.
