Q&A: How do I download music from myspace, spotify etc?

Are there programs out there I can download free that mean I can download music that is streamed on the internet?

You cannot keep music streamed through Spotify (even with a separate program).

If you want to record music off the web, try DownloadHelper for Firefox;

That is totally wrong! It would mean that it is also illegal to record music from a Radio Station…or record a movie aired on TV. What is ilegal in the States is to share those recordings with someone!

The fastest way to record Spotify is to take a double jack cable, one side plugged to your computer’s “line” output and the other end into the “mic” entry.

If you want something more sofisticated look in Google for recordings programs that will plug into the the signal coming from your soundcard and record everything that is played on your computer. In that case don’t forget to switch off the windows sound or close any program that can produce sound on your computer. Have fun!
