“Commander” is a song performed by American R&B singer Kelly Rowland, written by Rico Love and produced by French DJ David Guetta. It was released from May 14, 2010 as the international lead single from singer’s as-of-yet untitled third studio album. “Commander” also serves as Rowland’s debut single with Universal Motown Records following a brand new record deal and change of management. Guetta’s extended dance mix of the song will also released alongside the song’s main version. It will be the second time that Rowland has released song dance song with electronica and house music influences, the first being her previous collaboration with Guetta where she featured on his 2009 worldwide hit single, “When Love Takes Over”.
