Depends on the age group honey.
Teens/20′s – there’s 2 brilliant albums on the spotify internet site – ‘ 50 Dance Anthems ‘ is a 2010 release featuring all the current dance faves, ‘ Club Nights: Live It ‘ is a 2009 release featuring dance tunes that they need to all be familiar with. Add in some R&B biggies, such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake. You’ll find all their latest albums on there, along with re-mix albums featuring dancier versions of their hits, but do not forget to add a few slower numbers by these artists at the end of your playlist for a little smooching. Then in amongst the current songs you ought to mix in a little old skool dance, by artists such as The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers and 808State.
30 somethings/40 somethings – look to the 80′s and 90′s dance faves. Run DMC, Miami Sound Machine, S’Express, Snap, Prodigy, The Shamen, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Donna Summer, 808 State, C&C Music Factory, Utah Saints, Orbital, and Deee-Lite. Mix in 12″ versions of tracks by some of the huge artists of the time – Duran Duran, Five Star, Depeche Mode, Human League, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson and Madonna. Once more, you need to add a few smoochies at the end of the playlist – Sign Your Name by Terence Trent D’Arby, Save A Prayer by Duran Duran, and Careless Whisper by George Michael would be excellent selections.
If the age range is every thing from teens to middle-aged, then you want artists that everybody knows. Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, George Michael, Madonna, The Prodigy, Fat Boy Slim, Kylie Minogue, Take That, Robbie Williams and The Chemical Brothers. A slow dance at the end of the night might not be so appropriate in this circumstance due to the fact of the wide age range, but you could finish with some feel-excellent songs instead, such as Macarena by Los Del Rio, Barbie Girl by Aqua, The Ketchup Song by Las Ketchup, and Hey Baby by DJ Otzi, to end the party with a bang.
Hope this helps you somewhat. If you come across you’re genuinely struggling to put a playlist together, feel totally free to message me and I’ll be happy to assist. I have spotify myself. I could usually compile a playlist for you, which you could then locate on the internet site and just play.
Good Luck.
